Plante à souche ligneuse, hermaphrodite, à odeur de résine, à tiges couvertes de glandes très visqueuses.

Feuilles alternes, simples, linéaires, lancéolées à oblongues, entières ou à peine dentées, étroites et pointues, glanduleuses, gluantes, les inférieures pétiolées, les supérieures embrassantes.

Fleurs jaune vif, groupées en inflorescences de plusieurs capitules de 10 à 20 mm de diamètre, sur un long pédoncule; fleurons ligulés rayonnants, longs de 6 à 12 mm, dépassant nettement les bractées de l’involucre. Involucre à bractées inégales, disposées sur plusieurs rangées, les externes visqueuses extérieurement. Ovaire infère.

Fruits, akènes de 2 mm environ, surmontés d’une touffe de poils.

Leaves alternate, simple, linear, lanceolate to oblong, entire or hardly toothed, narrow and pointed, glandulous, sticky, the inferior ones petiolate, the superior ones clasping.

Flowers bright yellow, joined together in inflorescences of several capitula from 10 to 20 mm in diameter, on a long peduncle; ray-florets spreading from the centre, from 6 to 12 mm long, conspicuously exceeding the bracts of the involucre. Involucre with unequal bracts, laid out on several rows, the external ones viscous outside. Ovary inferior.

Fruits, achenes of 2 mm approximately, surmounted by a tuft of hairs.
