Minuartia hybrida subsp. laxa (Jord.) Jauzein

Plante herbacée, hermaphrodite, à tiges érigées, grêles, ramifiées, vertes à un peu rougeâtres, glabres, de moins de 1 mm de diamètre.

Feuilles opposées, simples, linéaires, de 5 à 8 mm de long, de 0,5 mm de large, entières, glabres.

Fleurs à symétrie radiaire, blanches, de 4 à 5 mm de diamètre (sépales inclus), réunies en cymes bipares de 15 à 35 mm de large, sur des pédicelles plus longs que les sépales. Corolle à 5 pétales libres, unis, entiers, ne dépassant pas 2 mm de long, plus courts que les sépales. Calice à 5 sépales libres, à bord membraneux, à poils glanduleux et à pointes pourpres. 3 à 5 étamines à filet blanc et à anthère rose. 3 styles à stigmate blanc. Ovaire supère.

Fruits, capsules à 3 valves, brunes, dépassant le calice, à graines avec des papilles sur le dos.

Calyx with 5 free sepals, with membranous edge, with glandulous hairs, with purple points. 3 to 5 stamens with a white filament and a pink anther. 3 styles with white stigmas. Ovary superior.

Fruits, capsules with 3 valves, brown, exceeding the calyx. Seeds with papillae on the back.

Minuartia : nom donné en l’honneur de Juan Minuart (1693-1768),

pharmacien militaire dans l'armée espagnole puis professeur de

botanique après la fondation du Jardin botanique royal de Madrid

en 1756.

Hybrida : adjectif créé par les botanistes [ < hybrida, -ae (nom)

= résultat du croisement d’une truie et d’un sanglier ] = métissé,

hybride.

Laxa : emprunt du latin laxus, -a, -um (adj.) = large, vaste, lâche,

en référence aux inflorescences lâches.

Minuartia : name given in honour of Juan Minuart (1693-1768),

military pharmacist in the Spanish Army and then Professor of botany

after the foundation of the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid in 1756.

Hybrida : adjective created by botanists [ < hybrida, -ae (noun)

= result of crossbreeding of a sow and a wild boar ] = hybrid.

Laxa : borrowed from Latin laxus, -a, -um (adj) = wide, huge,

loose, referring to the loose inflorescences.
