Plante herbacée, hermaphrodite, à tiges étalées, cylindriques, poilues sur 1 ligne, ramifiées, de 1 mm de diamètre.

Feuilles opposées, simples, ovales, entières, glabres, de ± 10 mm de long, de ± 7 mm de large, toutes plus ou moins longuement pétiolées.

Fleurs à symétrie radiaire, ne s’épanouissant jamais, de 2 à 4 mm de diamètre, sans pétale ou à 5 pétales vert jaunâtre à blanchâtres, transparents et peu visibles. Calice à 5 sépales libres, unis, vert jaunâtre, à marge membraneuse. 1 à 3 étamines à anthère orange rougeâtre. Ovaire supère.

Fruits, capsules ovoïdes, anguleuses, glabres, de ± 3 mm de long, de 1,5 à 2,5 mm de diamètre, dépassant un peu le calice. Graines de moins de 1 mm, brun pâle, rugueuses.

Leaves opposite, simple, ovate, entire, glabrous, ± 10 mm long, ± 7 mm across, all more or less lengthily petiolate.

Flowers radially symmetrical, never blossoming, from 2 to 4 mm in diameter, without petal or with 5 petals yellowish-green to whitish, pellucid and hardly conspicuous. Calyx with 5 free, self-coloured, yellowish-green sepals, with membranous margin. 1 to 3 stamens with a reddish-orange anther. Ovary superior.

Fruits, capsules ovoid, angled, glabrous, ± 3 mm long, from 1.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter, hardly exceeding the calyx. Seeds less than 1 mm, light brown, rough.
